Dorothy E. Gentry 78, of Mt. Washington, KY passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 at Baptist East Hospital. She was a native of DeKalb, IL.

She was the former Dorothy Prather a billing clerk with claims for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and a member of Bethal United Methodist Church, Mt. Washington Historical Society, Red Hat Society, Kentucky Colonel, and Kentucky Geological Society.

She is survived by children, Beverly Marshall, Stephen Gentry, Linda Gentry and Janet Frager; brother, Jerry Prather; grandchildren, Zane Thorn, Miriah Huggins, Richard Weikel, Brigitte Weikel; great-grandchildren, Josalynne Huggins, Mercedes Huggins.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitations will be noon-8 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to Baptist East Palliative Care Fund.
