William "Ken" Elmore
GORDO | William "Ken" Elmore, age 62, of Gordo, died June 7, 2014, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Hershel Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Jerrell Holley; and his grandparents, Mary and Willie Elmore.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Junkins Elmore; his sister, Debbie Holley; his sister-in-law, Kay Perkins (Kevin); his mother-in-law, Peggy Junkins; three nieces, Dana Mullenix (Jason W.), Dina Fuller (Wes), and Rebecca Shaw (Tim); one great niece; 3 great nephews; and his special pets.

Ken was born April 27, 1952, in Miami, Fla., to the late Morris Elmore and Opal McGullion Elmore. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a retired employee of Kernop Cabinet Shop, and a well-known resident of Pickens County.

Pallbearers will be Jason W. Mullenix, Nathan Mullenix, Wes Fuller, Samy Strothers, Kevin Perkins, and Todd Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Organ Fund, P.O. Box 588, Gordo, AL 35466.
