Lloyd G. "Sonny" Sargent, Jr.
Lake Charles-Lloyd G. "Sonny" Sargent, Jr., 57, passed away in his residence Saturday, June 28, 2014.

His funeral service will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation will be under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Sonny is survived by his son, Joshua L. Sargent (Shelby); siblings, Ava Miller, Margaret "Beth" Buxton (Marvin), James "Willie" Sargent (Brenda) and Robert "Buster" Sargent (Donna) and 1 grandchild on the way.

Sonny was born in Lake Charles on September 6, 1956 to the late Lloyd George Sargent, Sr. and Agnes Eve Smith. He was a graduate of Iowa High School and attended trade school in Arizona where he received his degree in Water Filtration. He also served in the United States Marine Corp and was stationed in San Diego. Sonny loved collecting antiques.
