Emilie Kopf passed from this earthly world in her home at 16 West Seventh Street, after a lingering illness. Emilie was born and raised in Monroe; educated in Trinity Lutheran and Monroe Public Schools; active in church circles, as a member of both the Trinity Lutheran and Altenheim Ladies Aid Societies. She served as secretary of the Altenheim group for several years. and was a charter member of the Mercy Hospital Ladies Auxillary. Emilie married Otto W. Kopf on December 10, 1902; she preceded him in death. To mourn her loss, were her husband; two sons, Maurice E. and Alfred Kopf; a brother Norman Graessley of Monroe; and four sisters, and one grandson. Rev. Fehner officiated services at Trinity Lutheran Church. (Info, MEN, 3-17-1943)
