She was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Beaumont, Texas, to Floyd and Bertha Childs. She was raised in Texas, where she met and married Maurice K. White on Sept. 25, 1954.
She was a wonderful, loving wife and mother, a great cook, and was a super Atlanta baseball fan and sports mom. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice K. White of Cheyenne; two sons, Harry (Patti) White of Cheyenne and Maurice K. White Jr. of New Braunfels, Texas; five grandchildren, Lisa (Jim) Hampton of Anchorage, Alaska, Aaron (Christel) White of Lehi, Utah, Kelley Shepp of Cheyenne, and Jessica (Travis) Wise and Kayci White, both of Houston; and seven great-grandchildren, Sarah, Rachael, Hannah and Abbie Hampton of Anchorage, and Janelle, Aaron and Ivey White of Lehi. She is also survived by three sisters, Erline (Bud) McDaniel, Vera Lloyd and Johnnie (Byron) Dowell; and two brothers, Lloyd (Rowena) Childs and John Childs.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Gail; her parents, Floyd and Bertha Childs; and brothers, F.C. Childs and Lovey M. Childs.
