Jimmie Blubaugh Dies in Hospital

Jimmie Blubaugh, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Blubaugh of east of Tonkawa, died about 6 o'clock Friday evening at the Ponca City Hospital after undergoing an emergency appendectomy.

He was a younger brother of Jack Blubaugh, former Ponca City High School and University of Oklahoma wrestler now en route to Finland with the U. S. Olympic team.

Funeral services are planned for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church at Tonkawa with the Rev. J. M. Gaskin, pastor, officiating.

Burial is to be in the Tonkawa IOOF Cemetery. McCafferty Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.

The body was taken Saturday to the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Blubaugh, 414 North Seventh, Tonkawa, where it is to lie in state until time of the service.

He is also survived by two other brothers, Edwin and Douglas, both of the home.
