Age 87 of Green Meadows Home, Painted Post, formerly of Addison, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997 at Corning Hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1910 in Galeton, PA, a daughter of Joseph and Vera Condino Stamilio. Mary married John J. Gangeme on July 7, 1928 in Galeton, he predeceased her on Oct. 3, 1956. She was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Catherine's Church, Catholic Daughters and The Sisters of Mary. She was a RSVP volunteer for many years and a member of the Addison Twi-Lighters Senior Citizens Club. Survived by three daughters, Catherine (Mrs. Lawrence) Hickey of Addison, Vera (Mr. Robert) Paliani of Racine, WI and Dolores (Mrs. Joseph) O'Brien of Hammondsport; three sons, Joseph Gangeme of Corpus Christi, TX, John (Lynda) Gangeme of Painted Post, and Anthony (Louise) Gangeme of Addison; three sisters, Anne Pagano and Mamie Cimino both of Galeton, and Carolyn Leonard of Kernersville, NC; two brothers, Anthony Stamilio and Floyd Stamilio both of Corning; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Frank and Dominic Stamilio. Friends may call We. 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison with family prayers Thursday at 9:30AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Catherine's Church. Rev. Andrew J. Kalafsky, celebrant. Burial will be made in St. Catherine's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Catherine's Trust Fund.
