Mr. Beaird was a native of Mississippi and lived in the Modesto and Oakdale areas 65 years.
He was a dairyman at Foster Farms for 10 years and also was a professional gambler for 65 years.
He was a member of the Modesto Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing cards and dancing.
He is survived by his children, Mary Hefley, Christine Fore and Robert Beaird, all of Oakdale, and Ben Beaird and James Beaird, both of Oregon; and 18 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Yvonne New.
A graveside memorial service will be at 2p.m. Thursday at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the Rodeo Grounds Club House, 1624 E. F St., Oakdale.
