Services will take place Monday at 2 pm in the George J. Smith and Son funeral home, 135 Broad street, with Rev. Willard Soper, pastor of First United Christ Church officiating. Burial will be in King's Highway cemetery.
Mr. Gaura was born in Torrington and was a resident of Milford for many years. He was a member of the Island View Senior Citizens club.
Survivors include three sons, Andrew Gaura Jr. of Rockville, Robert Gaura of Hanson, Mass, and Charles Gaura of Fort Meade, MD; two daughters, Mrs. Karen Castle of Hanson, Mass, and Mrs. Geraldine Madore of Milford; two brothers, Adolph Gaura of California and Emerson Gaura of South America; three sisters, Mrs. Casey Stengel of Thomaston and Mrs. Murray Finklestein and Mrs. Clarence Cables, both of Torrington; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
