Mr. Parish, age 63, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 18, 2014, at his residence in Ball, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his father John L Parish .
Mr. Parish is survived by his loving wife of 43years, Mrs. Martha Jean Parish of Ball; one son, Christopher Parish (Jennifer) of Tioga ; one daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Parish of Ball; three grandchildren Nathaniel, Ashley and Rebecca Parish of Tioga; His mother, Gracie Mae Smith Parish of Ball; and Shirley Griffin (Bill) of Denham Springs.
Jim retired from Dresser Industries as a Accounts Receivable Manager after 38 years of service. Jim was a member of Sanctuary of Praise in Pineville for 30 years and served on the Church Board.
Mr. Parish was an Air Force Veteran serving in Vietnam. Jim had many interests including riding motorcycles, cross stitching, woodworking, photography, playing guitar, gardening and building his retirement home in Arkansas. He was a loving Husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by many who loved him.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Dubois, Billie Evans, Ray Warren, Donald Williams, Jesse Peterson and Keith Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be John Smith and Bill Griffin.
