Joseph E. Benedict, formerly a carpenter, died at 8:15 yesterday morning of paralysis. The first stroke occurred about two years ago and the second happened last Saturday.
A widow and four children survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the family residence, 460 Cherry street. Rev. W.O. Anderson of the First Baptist church will conduct the religious exercises, after which the remains will be buried in Maple Park cemetery.
