Charles Elmo Kuykendall, age 82 of Lebanon died Aug 23 2008 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro where he had lived for five years.
Born May 27, 1926, in Algood, he was the son of the late Charles Thurman and Sally Florence Bilbrey Kuykendall. He was a 1949 graduate of Tennessee Tech with a degree in accounting and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of the Algood Church of Christ, the American Legion Post No. 15 in Lebanon, and was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Kuykendall made his home in Algood before becoming disabled and had lived in Lebanon for the past 35 years.
He is survived by one brother and his wife, one nephew, three nieces, ten great-nieces and one aunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Peery.
Graveside services were held at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
