Adah M. Cummins of Newberg, formerly of Springfield, passed away October 19, 2014 at age 95. She was born June 2, 1919 to Diltz and Gevena (Garrett) Gunlock in Coffey County, Kansas.
She married John Cummins on March 21, 1937; he preceded her in death on November 18, 2000.
She enjoyed oil painting, and many family and friends have her paintings. She was a seamstress and quilter. She knitted and crocheted for family and friends. She was known for her house slippers and homemade pies. She was a long time member of McKenzie Bible Fellowship.
She was survived by her daughters Judy Gregg (Tom) of Newberg and Jill Bamforth (Bruce) of Springfield; her sons John Cummins II (Joanne) of Rancho Mirage, CA and Jeff Cummins (Mariko) of Eugene; her 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson Jimmy Steidley on February 7, 1993.
