EUGENE CAMPLIN
MARKLEVILLE - Eugene Melvin Camplin, 39, A brakeman and conductor for the New York Central Railroad, died yesterday morning at St. John's Hospital after a year's illness.
Mr. Camplin was born in Shirley in 1923, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Camplin. He was a member of the Shirley Methodist Church, and of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surviving are the widow, Martha; a daughter, Marcia; and son, Mark, both at home; his parents who live in Shirley, and a brother, Forrest, also of Shirley.
Friends are being received at the Valorous C. Rector Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at the North Christian Church at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Robert Carter, assisted by the Rev. Gerald Beck. Burial will be in McCray Cemetery.
