HOWARD AND LETA PRYOR

Howard Pryor born March 27, 1902 at Concord, Nebr., son Bert and Mae (Hunter) Pryor, the family moved to Iowa to farm. Bert died at the age of forty due to an accident; he died following surgery at the Ford Hospital in Omaha, leaving eleven children: Albert, Myrle, Howard, Lawerence, Lela and Lola (twins), Harry, Gladys, Dean, Daniel and Bert who was born at the time of his father's death. Howard married Leta Lucille Straight December 7, 1922. Leta was the daughter of Alfred Pat and Cora (Keehner) Straight of Panama, Iowa. Leta was born December 13, 1907. Howard and Leta farmed for many years, retired and moved to Woodbine, Iowa in October, 1975. To this union five children were born:

I. Cleo Larraine born October 21, 1924. Cleo married Clarion Hansen; they were divorced and she later married Harry Wolfson. They live in Omaha and are the parents of Paula and Linda. Linda married Edgar Cadell, they have one child, Machelle.

II. Helen Marie born June 7, 1925. She married Lou Dale Sales February 25, 1944 in Omaha. They farm near Battle Creek, Iowa, and are the parents of five daughters: Jeanette, who married Richard Ott. They have three children; Barbara, who married Dick Meier. They have three children; Diana, who married Ton Castle and have three children; Charlotte, who married Bill Uhl and have two children; Karen, who married Darwin Blackmore and have two children.

III. Bernard (deceased), lived one week.

IV. Robert LeRoy born November 16, 1929. Robert married DeLoa M. Hickey. Robert was a farmer and has been an auctioneer for many years. Their children are: Robert, who is married and has three children; Rhonda, who married John Killpack. They were divorced and she later married Warren Hansen, they have two children; Renne; and Randall Patrick, who married Cindy Lapke. They farm and Randy is an auctioneer. They are the parents of a son Adam Randall; Rachelle, who married Jeff Thompson, they have one son; Rebecca.

V. Bill Gene born September 3, 1943. Bill married Linda Smith June 1, 1961. Bill farms and is an auctioneer. He owns and operates the Sale Barn at Moorhead, Iowa. They are the parents of three a children: Curtis Lynn married to Connie Burbridge, a Kimberly, and Kristine.
