George A. McCloskey, Springfield, died Tuesday at Haven Nursing Home. He was born in Lithuania but had been a Springfield resident for most of his life. A retired coal miner, he formerly was employed by Panther Creek Mine No. 5. He was a member of PMW of A and St. Aloysius Church. A son, Michael (Mickey), preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife, Mary (Sheraka): one son, John T. McCloskey of Springfield; a daughter, Mrs. Grady (Frances) Hamilton of Springfield; six grandchildren.
Services at St. Aloysius Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
