His photos reveal a very handsome face with deeply dimpled chin, and the 'ladies' adored him ... his mom, six sisters, and lovely wife, Elsie Robert. Yet, Gr. Uncle Buck was a real MAN's man. You can betcha his parents' large, heartland farm put the 'man' in manual labor and in Buck's early manhood. A retired Iron Worker, he was awarded the Bronze Star for his Army Air Corp service in the South Pacific during W.W.II.

Still, he always had a tickle for us kids when we visited.
