Staff sergeant, US Army. SSG Millett was a member of headquarters & headquarters company, 5th Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment. SGT Millett was killed in the crash of Arrow Air flight 1285 in Gander, Newfoundland. John Millett was posthumously promoted to staff sergeant, had been in the army since 1977, was from California, and was the son of retired Col. Lewis Millett, who was awarded the Medal of Honor in Korea.
