Billy passed away on February 12, 2015, leaving behind two daughters, and one son, Cynthia Ward, James Saunders and Billie Joe Saunders. Four sisters, Melva Davis, Jeanette Jones, Patsy Dixon and Ruth Ann Sawyer. Two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
