The 2nd daughter born to Louis Follett & Harriett Severance (Miller) Crowell, on August 16, 1926. She was a nurse with a specialty in burns--specifically, those resulting from the effects of phosphorous. She married a career special forces soldier, and brought up 3-children. She volunteered her expertise in the treatment of burns often on call throughout the Vietnam War years, at various Army Hospitals where we were located or stationed, as a result of our father's assignments. She was a compassionate woman, wife & mother who always was able to manage life in the military under very difficult circumstances. Among these were raising children often on her own while our father was serving in SE Asia, which was no small task.

She was preceded in death by both parents, and her 2-older siblings Elizabeth (Crowell) Curran & Cutler Collins Crowell. Her mother, Harriett Severance (Miller), died early in her childhood from tuberculosis, and her father Louis Follett Crowell dying sometime about 1952. She is the cousin of one Margarie O'Dell, whom we all called "Aunt Margarie".
