Minister Kenneth Hine Johnson, 60, died on November 10, 2014.

He was born on July 4, 1954 in Albany, N.Y. He was saved by the grace of God during his childhood. He was self-employed and an associate minister at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. He was also the director of Regeneration Outreach Ministry. Kenneth graduated with a certificate in pastoral ministries on May 10, from Tennessee Temple University.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Sr. and Daisy Mae Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Silvels Johnson, daughters, Somone Wyatt, Kameesha Johnson (Albany, N.Y., Shawntell Jones (Chattanooga, Tn), sisters, Inez Williams (Nashville), Rose Johnson (Albany, N.Y.); brother, Herbert Johnson, Jr. (Nashville); five grandchildren, brother-in-law, Hargis Rahmaan Saleen( Sherrilyn), sisters-in-law, Katherine Watson, Carolyn Silvels, Jackie (Herschel) Strickland, Evelyn (Jarvis) Porter, Agnes (Bopeep) Langster, all of Chattanooga; special granddaughter, Shantel McClanahan and grandson, Tracy Bailey, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, 4801 Highway 58.

The body will lie in state after noon on Monday, Nov. 17, and family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
