Sheridan Burley, Jr. was born July 24, 1935 in McAlester, Oklahoma to the union of Sheridan Burley, Sr. and Elizabeth Davis Burley.

Sheridan, aka “Seldom Seem” served his country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force as an Airman of an aircraft mechanic at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois.

Also he graduated from the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky on May 22, 1954 jumping from aircraft in flight; with advanced ground training honors.

He enjoyed Fishing with his wife and waxing on his cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Verna Elizabeth Burley; and Sherline Burley-Overton; one brother, Robert Burley; and his loving wife of 28 years Helen Beatrice Burley.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his daughter, Marty Hogan; his son, Darrell Cubit; his grandchildren Marla Dancer; and William Dancer; great grandchildren; his sister, Willa Mae Burley-Ward of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Ronald Lee Burley; and Donald Lee Burley of Kansas City, Kansas; along with a host of nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
