Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Pellerin Funeral Home, in Cecilia, for Curtis John Latiolais, 67, who died Friday, October 20, 2006 in Baton Rouge.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, in Cecilia.

Mr. Latiolais was a graduate of Opelousas High, where he was a member of the 1955 State Champion Boxing Team. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marines, and worked as a cartographer for Coastal Environments Inc, for 34 years.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Bennett Latiolais of Prairieville; mother, Lola Meche Latiolais of Arnaudville; sons, Dock Latiolais of Rosharon, TX., Gevan Latiolais of Walker; daughter, Victoria McGee Latiolais of Fisher, AK; brother, Randall J. Latiolais of Arnaudville; sisters, A. Jayne Avery of New Orleans, Sandra Latiolais of Arnaudville; 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Latiolais.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Soldier's Angels, 1150 N. Loop 1604W, Suite 108-493, San Antonio, TX. 78248, to provide "BACKPACKS" for our troops.
