MRS. MARY ALICE ADDIS
(1874-1955)
Mrs. Mary Alice Addis, 81, died at 5 a.m. today at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. O. Carson Barklow, 2724 Scioto Trail.
Mrs. Addis had been ill five months with complications.
She was born on Jan. 26, 1874, in Lawrence County, the daughter of George M. and Nancy Rouse.
On Nov. 6, 1894, Mrs. Addis was married to Barton D. Addis, who preceded her in death in 1915.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
Besides her daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Addis is survived by two sons, George of Cincinnati and Wilbur, 1424 Third St.; three brothers, Ernest and Elmer, both of Jackson; and George of Baltimore, Md.; and two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Potts of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Loren Addis of Jackson.
Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Emrick Funeral Home, with Rev. John McLeod officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park.
Friends may call at the Barklow residence of Scioto Trail after 6:30 p.m. today and until noon Thursday when the body is to be moved to the funeral home.
Parking space for friends and relatives calling at the residence is available at the rear of the Barklow residence.
