He married on 1 Jan 1829 in St. Louis Co., MO (1) Nancy Jane Fitzgerald b. 1812 in KY d. 10 Jun 1852 in MO; they had the following children (all born in MO): William b. 1829 who married Arbella; Charity b. 1832; Angeline "Ann" b. 1837; Silas b. 1840 d. abt 1864 in the Civil War; Milton b. 1842 d. 1919 in Alvarado, TX who married Sarah Luvica Mahaney; Eliza b. 1843; Franklin "Frank" b. abt 1847-50; and Lucy Hibler b. 1848.
