The 1983 Forbes magazine list of the 400 richest Americans said the Temple family owned about 13 percent of Time Inc. stock, which it had acquired in 1973 when the magazine publishing concern acquired Temple Industries. The concern had large timber and land holdings in east Texas.
Mr. Webber, who retired in the 1970's, was a philanthropist whose charities included the Temple Memorial Treatment Center and the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council.
