Born in Granville,N.Y., March 26,1910,son of Delos Cook and the former ,Loretta Barrett,he recieved his education there.
In earlier years, Mr. Cook was employed in the maintenance department at Bennington College and also worked as a farmer.
Survivors include a close friend, the former Lillian Alice Wilkins of Bennington; his wife,the former Linda Chattertan; 8 daughters, Mrs. Alfred(Mariem) Stewart of Argyle, Mrs. Stephen(Cindy) Woodie, Susan and Jean Cook, Mrs. David(Miranda) Pratt and Mrs. David(Lillian) Hurley, all of Bennington, BeverlyCook of Pownal,and Charlotte Matsushige of Portsmouth, Va; 5 sons, Herman Cook of Glens Falls, Albert Cook of Bolten Landing, Ernest Cook of Greenwhich, David Cook of Pownal, and Arthur Cook of Rutland; 31 Grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Cook of Hudson Falls; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lena Winchell od CHicopee, Mass. and Mrs Florence Peet of California; and a Stepbrother, Henry Stratton of Hudson Falls,another daughter, Laura Mae Cook, died in 1950.
Funeral Services will be held at the Mahan and son funeal Home Satuday morning at 10 with Paster William Straden of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church officisting. Burial will be in the family lot in Union Cemetary, Hudson Falls, with Committal Services at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, when the family will be in attendance.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Cook's memory to a charity of one's choice through the office of the funeral home.
