MADISON — Wilbur D. Brown, age 87, of Madison, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, April 7, 1991, at a local hospital. He was born on April 10, 1903, in Clinton, Wisconsin, to Bert and Hattie (Aspland). He was baptized in 1915 as a member of the Seventh Day Adventist. He lived in Clinton and Rockton, Illinois, until he went to school at Bethel Academy at Arpin, Wisconsin, where he graduated in 1923. He married Eva R. Lewis on June 10, 1926. He attended E. M. C. in Berrien Springs, Michigan. In 1937 Wilbur and his wife, Eva moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where they have been residents since. He was a self employed carpenter and built many homes in the Madison area. He was well known for his craftsmanship. He was an active member of the Audubon Society and a lifelong member of the South Side Businessmens Club of Madison. He was a faithful member of the Madison Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eva R. Brown of Madison; a daughter, Joyce Ann Brown of Madison; a sister, Ruth Clark of Madison; and a niece, Audrey Dobson of Beloit. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 1991, in the Madison Seventh Day Adventist Church, located at 3815 Dutch Mill Rd., Madison. Elder Robert Stauffer will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery, Monona.
