Mrs. Tyson passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at her residence. She was born on September 29, 1938 in Goodwater, Alabama to Leonard Calvin DeVaughn and Eloise Blair Hanshaw. She was an active member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and played the piano for service. Mrs. Tyson was a charter member of the Lake Martin Rock and Gem Club. She enjoyed painting and doing wood crafts, and growing flowers and vegetables.
She is survived by her daughter, Darrienda Tyson Stroud (Jerry), of Alexander City; son, Steven Tyson of Alexander City; brother, Russell Hanshaw (Kathy); grandchildren, Angela Masdea (Denny), Gini Walker (Delmar), Stephanie Tyson-White, Joshua Tyson, and Nicholas Tyson; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lesley E. Tyson and her parents.
