Beverly was born on a farm near Emerado, ND, the daughter of Julius and Barbara (Bauer) Drewlo. She grew up and attended grade school at Mekinock District #24 near Emerado and went to Larimore High School where she graduated in 1948.

She worked for her parents until her marriage to Eldred E. Brorby on Nov 19, 1950. Bev worked a the French Fry Plant in Grand forks until 1979. She then worked at Altru Hospital for 20+ years, retiring in 2003.

Bev passed away at Altru Hospital on Jun 13, 2013. Memorial services were held in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Larimore, ND with interment in Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND. At time of death Bev was survived by her husband, two daughters, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother and one sister.

The following was written by Bev for her 50th class reunion.

I didn't go to school after graduation (my choice). I worked at various jobs and on the home farm.

Nov 19, 1950 Eldred and I were married in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Larimore. It wasn't long until Eldred was drafted into the Army. He was sent to Fort Story, Virginia for Basic Training in the Amphibious Trk. Co.

We lived in Virginia Beach nearly a year. When he got orders to go overseas, I came home and helped out. Eldred was discharged the end of January 1953.

In Nov 1953 our first daughter was born, Melody. She and her husband David Davidson live in Grand Forks. They are the parents of our three grandchildren.

Our second daughter Michelle was born April 6, 1956. She married Gaylon Paulson and lives near Larimore.

Both of our girls graduated from Larimore High School.

After my dad's death I helped my brother on the farm for a number of years, plus working at a food factory during the winter months, until the fall of 1979. I started full time in Environmental Services at United Hospital where I worked until my Semi retirement in 1995.

In 1990 I had lung surgery in Rochester. Doctors removed part of my lung due to cancer. No treatment was needed. Thank God.

Memories of my friends and classmates at good old Larimore High
School will always be remembered.
