Editor, Journalist. A legendary Finno-Swedish newspaperman, he commenced his career as a correspondent in Helsinki for the Swedish sports magazine Idrottsbladet during the 1930s. He then was the first editor-in-chief for the popular magazine Se from 1938 to 1944. In 1944 Nycop teamed with editor Albert Bonnier Jr. in creating the tabloid Expressen, a publication that in fifteen years was to become Sweden´s largest newspaper. He was also Expressen´s editor until 1962. Throughout his life he wrote several books on history, sports, and politics, as well as his memoirs.
