OBITUARY: REGINALD "REGGIE" JOSEPH FROST, January 27, 1950 ~ August 15, 2015 - reprinted form the August 19, 2015 Columbian

Reginald "Reggie" Joseph Frost, of Vancouver, Washington, born January 27, 1950, beloved spouse, brother, uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle of everyone in his family, died August 15, 2015, after a courageous and lengthy nearly 12-year battle with lung cancer and lung disease. Affectionately known as Reggie, he was born and grew up in Hastings, MN, the son of Reginald and Rosella Reuter Frost. Reggie attended Guardian Angels Elementary School and Hastings High School.

After his graduation in 1968, he worked with his father at the H. D. Hudson Manufacturing Company for several years. Reggie was very close to his father and was hurt tremendously when his father died in 1975 after a short battle with cancer.

Reggie moved to Southern California just after his father's death 1975, and worked for several companies as a Facilities Administrator. He moved to Portland, Oregon in 1990 and took up Real Estate sales.

In 1995, he moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, and finally moved back to the Pacific Northwest in 2005 and settled in Vancouver.
For the last 26 years, Reggie was devoted to helping alcoholics in recovery.

Reggie had a great love of genealogy, and spent over 35 years compiling a significant history of his family going back several hundred years. He had recently completed his efforts, however, unfortunately never saw the book (presently being printed) in its final form.

Reggie is survived by his partner of 37 years, Geoff Brookman; brothers, Frank (Karrol) and Michael (Joan) of Hastings, MN and Robert (Mary Lou) of Lewes, DE; sisters, Margaret (David) Hanson of St. Croix Falls, WI and Rosy (David) Bignell of Hastings, MN. Reggie also is survived by nieces, nephews, great and great-great's-too numerous to list. He is also survived by two aunts, Mary Frost Thurmes who turned 100 on August 17 of Prescott, WI and Ethel Williamson Reuter, of Hastings, MN.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother; and twin brother, Bill.
