Beverly Jean Cole, age 82 of Sykesville, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Fairhaven in Sykesville. Born January 11, 1933 in Easton, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna Louise (Laird) Grecht. She was the wife of the late Nephi R. "Mickey" Cole.
Mom was a friend to many, especially her "family" at Fairhaven and her lifelong friends. Her caring way and smiling face brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. As others served her, she served them. Her greatest joy was being ever present in her family's life, at milestone events and in everyday moments.
Her survivors include daughter and son-in-law Dale Cole Carter and William B. Carter of IN and son and daughter-in-law Allan Richard Cole and Jan Cole of VA. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2pm at Fairhaven Chapel, 7200 Third Avenue, Sykesville. Interment in Wesley Freedom Cemetery, Sykesville.
