Betty J. Baeten, age 88, of West De Pere, passed away on September 18, 2015 at Angel's Touch in De Pere. She was born on October 16, 1926 to the late Ralph and Marcella (Bradley) Fenlon in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County. She married Donald L. Baeten on July 19, 1950 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove, Manitowoc County. They were married for 57 years. Don died on December 21, 2007.

She graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic School at Maple Grove, East De Pere High School, Manitowoc Teachers College and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Thirty nine years of teaching were spent at Hickory Grove in Maribel, Schink in De Pere, Wrightstown, Webster, and Langlade schools in Allouez. She enjoyed her years of teaching and made many friends. During her retirement, Betty enjoyed the tours she took of the United States with Don and the British Isles with her sister, Beatrice. Betty was a former member of St. Patrick's Parish at Maple Grove, St. Paul's Parish in Wrightstown, and now Our Lady of Lourdes in De Pere. She was also a member of the Green Bay Retired Teachers, Wisconsin Retired Education Association, and the De Pere Women's Club

She is survived by her sister, Florence Donovan, De Pere; friend, Jim Kiley, Green Bay; nieces and nephews: Ed Eberhardt, Madison; Tim Donovan, New York City; Amy and Bill Dixon, Monona; and Susan Moore, De Pere; on the Baeten side: Connie and Tom Bauer, Craig and Katie Vosters, Little Chute; Paula and Russell Gibson, Appleton; Judy Berger, Florida; Debby and Rick Mraz, Fence, Wisconsin; Paul and Joyce Lamers, Little Chute; many cousins and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents Ralph and Marcella Bradley Fenlon; her sister, Beatrice Eberhardt; on the Baeten side: Martin and Mary (Blaser) Baeten, Willard and Marion Baeten, Irene Lamers, Florence Baeten, Margaret Baeten, Don's twin sister Dorothy Vosters; nephews and niece: Teddy Lamers, Steven Eberhardt and Vicky Lamers; brothers-in-law: Frank Donovan, Don Vosters, and Fred Eberhardt.

Family and friends may visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Avenue and Suburban Drive, De Pere, on Wednesday, September 23, from 9:00am until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O.Praem officiating. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere.
