He was a veteran of both the Spanish-American War and World War 1, serving in Troop E of the 8th Calvary regiment in the earlier conflict. For more
than 20 years he was on recruiting duty in Cleveland, Ohio.
Surviving him are his wife Jane, and two sisters. Services were held at the Corrigan Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.
