He married Linda Dean Deckard on June 19, 1965, in Kansas City, Kan. To this union three children were born.
In 1972, they moved to La Cygne. Mr. James was self employed working as an auto mechanic. He and his wife recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife: Linda, of the home; two sons: Ricky Dean James of San Diego, Calif., Larry Edward James of Pleasonton, Kan.; and a daughter: Lisa June Stevein and husband Ron of Osawatomie, Kan.; one brother: Rex James of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren: Aaron Allen White, Jesse James, and Jaime James.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2000,at Oak Lawn Cemetery, La Cygne, Kan., with Pastor Freda Miller officiating.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
