He returned to the States, March 6, 1919, aboard the USS Leviathan, docking at Hoboken, NJ. He marched in the great " Welcome Home Parade " for the 27th Division, up 5th Avenue, in New York City, on March 25, 1919. Discharged from the service, April 1, 1919, at Camp Upton, NY.
