He was rarely called by his first name Coral, a Scottish family name from his Grandmother's Bliss-McCaslin lineage. As a child his sister Earldene affectionately called him Rickety-T-Tah which eventually became Rick thereafter. His mother always called him "Sonny".

Coral "Rick" C. Bliss, age 90 of Lawrenceville passed away on Thursday, November 05, 2015 at the Bath VA Medical Center in Bath, NY.
Born September 12, 1925 in Lawrenceville, he was the son of the late Earl and Ethel (Seeley) Bliss.

Rick served in the US Marine Corp during WWII. He was the general foreman at Elkland Tannery until its closing and then became an electrical contractor.

He was a devoted husband and family man. Rick is survived by his wife, Thelma; his son, Richard "Rick" and Judy Bliss of Heron Creek, FL; a daughter, Victoria R. and Howard Zingler of Painted Post, NY; grandchildren; Mark, Scott, Erin, Jason, Kathleen, Kyle, and Adam; great grandchildren and his many special nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at their convenience. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Arrangements are in care of Kenyon Funeral Home.
