Services for Mrs. Jenkins will be Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at 10 AM at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hunt and the Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. Interment will be at Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 4 until 9 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until 9 PM. Mrs. Jenkins, 77, of Lebanon, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at her residence. A native of Statesville, she was born March 26, 1925 to Charlie Reason Lester and Thelma James Lester. A 1942 graduate of Watertown High School, she was retired from Precision Rubber Company and was Baptist in faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis E. "Bill" Jenkins; son, Jerry Jenkins; two infant grandchildren; sister, Shirley Fay Lester and a brother, Manison Lee Lester. Survivors include: son, Charles (Donna) Jenkins of Lebanon; daughter, Deborah (Elbert) Malone of Watertown; daughter in law, Mildred Jenkins of Brush Creek; eight grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, James W. (Jennie) Lester of Tucson, Arizona; Sam (Jean) Lester, Galon (Sue) Lester, Benny (Betty Gail) Lester, all of Lebanon; and Ray (Julia) Lester of Tullahoma; sisters, Charlene (Daymond) Mitchell of Mt. Juliet, Dorothy (Billy) Patton and Karen Barry, all of Lebanon. Grandchildren will serve as active pallbearers.
