Sturbridge - Annette T. (Duff) Gagne, 76, of Shepard Rd., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20th, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness.

She leaves her husband of 56 years, Joseph A. Gagne; two sons, Daniel A. Gagne of Southbridge and Alan E. Gagne and his wife Melanie of Brookfield; four daughters, Monique Reed of Southbridge, Diane Goddard of Norwood, CO, Rita Laws of Fiskdale and Michelle Gagne of Southbridge; two brothers, Robert Duff of Sturbridge and Ronald Duff of Dudley; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Hector and Imelda (Gagnon) Duff.

Annette was a baker at the Big Y Supermarket in Southbridge for several years and later worked for the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Sturbridge. She previously worked for G & F Industries in Sturbridge and the former Ames Department Store in Sturbridge. She was an avid sports enthusiast and in her youth she played basketball in high school and competed in the Junior Olympics in track. She enjoyed crafts and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed riding with her husband on his motorcycle and at one time they drove in a convertible across the country.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00am in St. Anne's Church, 16 Church St., Sturbridge. Burial in North Cemetery, Sturbridge, will be held at the convenience of the family.
