ELKHART - Mr. David E. "Dave" Farnham, 76, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at 8:35 pm following an extended illness.

He was born in Battle Creek, MI on Feb. 18, 1939 to the late Robert and Thelma (Newbre) Farnham. He later married Bonnie J. Huber on May 21, 1974 in Elkhart. She survives him at home.

He is also survived by his brother Larry (Leda) Farnham; sister Jacquelin Easter of Mablevale, AR, and his step-mother Florence Farnham of Battle Creek. Dave's granddaughter Courtney Troyer, step-son Jerry Knight, Jr. and brothers James and William Farnham precede him in death.

He worked for the railroad as a locomotive electrician and mechanic for over 20 years, retiring in 2001. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an accomplished trap and skeet shooter. He was also a proud 40 year member of AA and was a US Air Force veteran.
