Passed away bravely and peacefully at home with her family by her side. Kaitlyn will be lovingly remembered by her family; parents Joe and Bonnie; brother Michael; grandparents; John and Carol Soles; Jim and Laura Middlemiss; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Kaitlyn had her own personality from the time she opened her eyes and taught her family a lot in the first few years. She delighted everyone with her laughter and many smiles. Although Kaitlyn had Battens Disease she continued to be the delight of her family and all those who took care of her. She has taught us to love without expectation and yet be loved beyond comprehension. In the mist of the heartache God provided for all of Kaitlyn’s needs. Out of her life Jesus Christ shone. Bonnie and Joe would like to thank all her caregivers, Dr. N. Robertson, Mary Baker, Bonnie Lamley and Kerry and Jan McIntyre for all of their care and support during Kaitlyn’s illness. A celebration of Kaitlyn’s life was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 6, 2007. Interred at Mountain View Cemetery, Duncan, BC. Donations can be made in memory of Kaitlyn to Canuck Place Childrens Hospice, 1690 Matthews Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. V6J 2T2. Online condolences may be offered at www.sandsfuneral.com
