Born at Newton, Kan., he lived most of his early life at Emporia, Kan.
In the late '90s he joined the Lee company at Salina, Kan., and continued on its sales force until his retirement several years ago.
He was the son of Lloyd B. Potter, one of the original officials of the Lee company, who died here in 1938.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ada Potter, of Lawrence and Kansas City; a brother, Earl Potter, a member of the Journal-World news staff, and two nephews, Dewitt L. Potter and Richard Ralph Potter, all of Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock at Newcomer's chapel in Kansas City. Interment will be made Thursday, at 1 o'clock, in Topeka.
