Webster, Willard Bruce
August 25, 1925 - March 7, 2016. Bill passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 90 after a long and wonderful life.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Herbert, his sisters Evelyn and Gwendolyn. He was also preceded in death by his wife Bernice, who passed on January 25, 2016 and his son Thomas Webster and stepson Thomas Mileham. Bill is survived by his brother Eugene Webster and wife Nancy of Warren, PA and his sister Carolyn Cordes of Russell, PA. He is also survived by his children; Susan Paul of Tulsa, OK, Becky Kirik and husband Dave of Union City, PA, Pam Hurst of Cave Creek, AZ, Robin Webster of Mesa, AZ, Melissa Clayton and husband Jeff of Phoenix, AZ, Melinda Webster of Cave Creek, AZ, and Derek Webster and wife Denise of Cave Creek, AZ, stepson Michael Mileham of Cave Creek, AZ and Forge Mileham of Tulsa, OK. He has 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Bill was also much loved by his nieces and nephews. Originally from Russell, Pennsylvania, he started life as a farmer until he joined the Navy. He served as a gunnery instructor during WWII and was very proud of his service to his country. Bill owned a business in Warren, PA for many years until he finally ended up in Cave Creek, Arizona where he settled and owned several businesses. He loved to dance, was an avid poker player, and was very involved in the American Legion holding the office of commander several times and was a long time member. He and his wife, Bernice, loved to travel, enjoyed gambling and raising roses by their pool. Bill was a wonderful character around town and was much loved by everyone who met him. He was happiest being surrounded by family and friends. Bill's smile, sense of humor and joy of life will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him. Words cannot express how much his hugs and big booming voice will be missed by his loved ones. Service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix AZ 85024, (entrance is on Pinnacle Peak Rd) where Bill and his wife Bernice will be laid to rest together on Tuesday March 15 at 1:30 pm with a gathering afterwards at the American Legion in Cave Creek for family and friends.
