Glenn Arlen Olsen, 85 of La Crosse, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home from Advanced Alzheimer's Disease.

He was born on October 14, 1930 to Norma and Ray Olsen in La Crosse. On April 12, 1958 he married his beloved, Joan A. Larson of La Crosse in the Rectory of St. Mary's Church in La Crosse, WI.

Glenn graduated 25th out of a class of 26 from Logan High School in February 1949. Between his high school graduation and before his Navy enlistment in December of 1950 he worked at Erickson’s Bakery and spent of his free time at the Beer Depot and S & H Pool Hall in La Crosse.
In the Navy, Glenn was stationed in San Diego, CA and Washington D.C. serving in the Armed Forces Security Agency. He was honorably discharged in November 1954.
In January 1955 he enrolled in the University of La Crosse, he later graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a BS degree in Labor Economics in 1958. After graduation, he joined Research Products Corporation in Madison, Oklahoma City and Dallas, Texas. He ended his employment 10 years later as a district sales manager in Dallas, Texas.

His next career move was as President of SPRAYCO Inc of Dallas, TX, Oklahoma City, OK and Newport Beach, CA. In 1977 Glenn joined VIP Inc, an executive search and placement firm in Los Angeles, CA. In 1979 Glenn and his business partner Ted Bavly opened Executive Search and Placement Inc. in Newport Beach, California. Glenn was President of this successful search firm until his retirement and relocated to “Lovely lively La Crosse” in 1993.

During his retirement Glenn thoroughly enjoyed spending countless hours fishing with the members of the South Lauderdale Yacht Club. Golfing with the seniors at Pine Creek in the summer. As well as the Winter Senior Bowling League with his brother Tom at the Playmor Lanes was always a most enjoyable way to spend a Tuesday afternoon. Glenn was a fan of the “PONOS”, especially his good friend Lorraine Sokolik who loved to play poker and just shoot the breeze. He fondly remembered playing Euchre and good times spent with his friends: Jean and Char, Lorraine, Elroy and Rita.

Glenn is survived by his two daughters Mary Evers and Elizabeth (Dennis) Davis and his son Christopher R. Olsen; five grandchildren: Adam, Timothy and Emily Evers and Sheri and Kathrine Davis; brother Dr. Thomas Olsen (RET) along with his caring wife Carol Olsen both of La Crosse, WI.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Norma Olsen of La Crosse along with his brother Ray Olsen of Kansas and his sister Nana Rae of Monroe, Wisconsin. Glenn lost his dear son Geoffrey Glenn Olsen, of Corona Del Mar, CA in 2009

Inurnment will be in the St. Joseph's Mausoleum at Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse.
