Born in St. Miguel, the Azores, a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Monteiro, she came to this country in 1917 and settled in the Newport area. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Alice Greeman Lawson of Monroe, N.C.; four sons, Dennis W. and James Coite , both of Newport, Joseph Coite of Warwick and George Coite of Albany, Wis.; 29 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. from the O'Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Mary's Church, Spring Street. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.
