Dr. Carmine Frank Ruocco of Gardendale, Alabama passed away on 5/12/2016; surrounded by family and friends at his bedside. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicky; son, Jeffrey Roper (Danna); daughter, Diane Marcantonio (Carmine); grandchildren, Alex (Natalie) and Spencer Marcantonio, Steffanie, Owen, and Jean-Luc Roper; sisters, Vera Alestra and Loretta Detorfino as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Phyllis Ruocco. Dr. Ruocco was a well beloved teacher during his career at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Al. He loved to travel to Italy and England; and was also an avid collector of MG cars. Visitation (wake) will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Chapel from 6pm to 8pm located at 1515 12th Avenue South; Birmingham, Alabama 35205 on Monday, May 16, 2016 followed by the funeral mass on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fultondale, Alabama.
