She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira R. Capers in 1976; her father, mother, brother, and two sisters and her daughter, Diviviean Allian Caper.
She is survived by her children, Chester Capers, Clara Capers (Alton) Macks, Edna Capers (Albert) Moreno, Leaster Capers Brown, O'Deborah Capers (Roak) Madden, Tommy (Diane) Capers, Roderica Capers (Billy) Cordle, Rolanda Capers, Veronica Capers Simms, Ira Capers Jr. and Terry Capers.
