WRIGHT, Michael Avary "Mike" of Clio, age 59, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Medilodge of Frankenmuth. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Rene Garcia; Lighthouse Evangel Tabernacle - officiating. Cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 12PM until the time of service at 2PM. Contributions may be made to the family. Mike was born December 27, 1956 in Flint, Michigan to Charles and Bettie (McClane) Wright. He married Linda T. Harrand on November 12, 2005 in Imlay City. Mike was employed at VG's in Burton for 24 years. He umpired for various school sports and enjoyed watching different types of sports, especially the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan Wolverines. Mike was actively involved in bowling for many years and enjoyed attending hockey games. Surviving are: Wife, Linda Wright; Father, Charles Wright; Sister, Katherine McKim; Brother-in-law, Rene Garcia; Many aunts, uncles, cousins; 4 nieces and nephews; 1 great niece and 1 great nephew. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Bettie Wright; Brother, Marty Wright and his lifetime best friends, Jim and Rick. The family would like to give special thanks to Mike's sister Kathy, who cared for him his entire illness. Mike was in the care of Medilodge for over two years. During Mike's final days, he was in care of Grace Hospice of Bay City. Mike's family would like to thank Anita of Grace Hospice and the caregivers at Medilodge for all their love and care.
