June (91) passed away on December 17th at the Benton House Memory Care Unit in Titusville. Earl (94) passed away on December 20th at the VITAS Hospice Crisis Care Facility on Merritt Island. Both passed away peacefully with family at their side. Both were born in Turtle Creek, PA. They would have been married for 70 years on January 25th.
June was a homemaker. Earl was a WW II veteran who served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 - 1946. He survived a plane crash while stationed in Texas while in the Air Corps. After his military service, he went on to be a locomotive engineer with the Union Railroad in Pittsburgh, retiring in 1982 after 42 years of service.
They are survived by daughter Linda (Rob) Himes of Verona, PA and son Ken (Mary) of Titusville. They were loving grandparents to grandson Benjamin of Titusville and were extremely proud of him, especially when he earned his Eagle Scout rank. They are also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Western PA area.
Their funeral will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Mims. Internment will be at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with military honors on Monday, January 9th at 10:00 am.
